Sue Rugge
Sue Rugge was a pioneer in the independent research profession, founding her first research business, Information Unlimited, in 1971. She went on in found Information on Demand and the Information Professionals Institute. Sue wrote The Information Broker’s Handbook -- considered the definitive guide to the profession and now out of print -- gave seminars on starting and running an information business, and provided advice, encouragement, and friendship to thousands of people. She passed away at the age of 58 in 1999.
